As we all know……magic or fairy wands are found in fairy tales, myth, legend and folklore.  The fairy wand is a catalyst for the story of a fairy tale.  They carry immense power and can be owned by fairies, witches, wizards, sorcerer and sorceresses.  They can be used to defeat enemies and conquer worlds through strength and sorcery.  The wand cast spells, unleash evil and aid the hero / heroine.  Not just children love the myth of the magic wand but adults do too. 

The wand carries boldness and strength for both the evil and good.  The wand carries a symbol of healing, and magical powers and casting spells..  Can you think of the stories you have heard where the wand was used?  Cinderella, Harry Potter, Wizard of Oz…..and on and on we can name them.

This is my newest Granny Afghan.  I am very proud and excited over this afghan.  This is the first afghan I have made with the yarn my Granny Evans' left me.  It turned out beautiful and I am grateful for the yarn.

Don’t you just love the feeling of a hot shower and being clean after a hard work out, or strenuous work in the yard? I know I do. There is nothing more refreshing than a glass of cold water after working hard in the yard on a hot summers day. Oh – yeh, don’t forget the newness of a fresh smelling baby. Cleanliness, that makes us feel so pure, accepted, new, CLEAN.
Jesus cleanses us and tells us to get ourselves cleaned up. He gives us the reassurance that the old should stay the old and the new should become the new – new and that we should dress ourselves in cleanliness.
